LEBANON, OH - On a night where the weather was quite spooky with rain and wind, the Crusaders dominated on both ends of the pitch en route to a 4-0 win over Anderson in a Regional Semifinal at Lebanon Junior High.

The majority of the first half saw the Crusaders have many opportunities to score but were turned away by great saves by the Anderson keeper. The Redskins on the other hand had very little opportunity due to the solid defense by the Crusaders.

Moeller broke the seal of a scoreless match in the 38th minute as Ben Hegge found Jake Renneker who fired a bullet from about 18 yards out and into the upper 90 of the goal for a 1-0 Crusader lead.

The Crusaders would take the 1-0 lead into the half before adding on to the lead early in the second half. In the 51st minute, Jake Renneker returned the favor on a throw-in and found Ben Hegge who deposited the ball in the back of the net for a 2-0 lead. The goal for Hegge marked his 15th of the year. The Crusaders made it 3-0 in the 63th minute as off a deflection from Lawson Brandon, Kade Tepe fired the ball past the Anderson keeper from just inside the box. This marked the 4th goal of the year for Tepe.

The Crusaders would play add on late in the match as Jake Renneker recorded his second assist of the match and found Ethan Howell who headed the ball into the back of the net for a 4-0 lead in the 68th minute.

The Crusaders set multiple records in the Regional Semifinal victory. Junior, Cal Collins recorded his 11.5 shutout of the season and moved into a tie for first place all-time in shutouts with 19.5 with 1996 alum, Adam Lux. The Crusaders also reset the record for most shutouts in a season with 13 and fewest goals allowed in a season with ten in 21 matches. Collins also set tie the record for most consecutive shutouts at five with Brian Schaeper in 2000 and Mike McMillan and Rob Albert in 1988.
