Ron Roth

Ron Roth—Freshman Head Coach—Coach Roth begins his 29th season at Moeller coaching the Freshman Baseball Team and 27th as head coach.  He has a 500-105 record as head coach and a 542-111 overall coaching record at Moeller.  His freshman baseball teams have won GCL Championships in 22 of those 26 years as head coach.  He has also been the Moeller Junior Varsity Golf team head coach for 26 years piling up a 395-117 dual match record. In addition to leading freshman at Moeller, Ron has been coaching amateur baseball in the Cincinnati area for the past 50 years. He has coached everything from t-ball to 11 years at the University of Cincinnati. Over this period of time he has compiled an overall baseball coaching record of 2086-616. This includes his summer AABC teams that won the 16U Mickey Mantle World Series in 1970 and 1971, runners-up in the 14U Sandy Koufax World Series in 1987 and won the 13U Pony League World Series in 1991 with a 66-1 record.
 
Ron was honored in 2006 by the Hamilton County Sports Hall of Fame for his involvement in over 4500 sporting events in the Greater Cincinnati area and in 2012 when he was inducted into the Moeller Hall of Fame.
 
Ron has also been hired by Major League Baseball for the past 39 years to serve as an official scorer for the Cincinnati Reds. In 2010, Coach Roth was appointed by Major League Baseball to the Advisory Committee for Official Scorers.  He has been a licensed Real Estate Broker with Irwin I. Roth, Inc. for the past 52 years.   Coach Roth lives with his wife, Anne, of 48 years. The couple have two children, Julie and Alan, and are blessed with three wonderful grandchildren, Jake (15), Hailey (13), and Alyssa (12).
